So who's going?
What are you driving?
Got a site? or just looking?

I'll be in my chevvy pickup with a site in the non-reserved area, forgot to re-book last year and now havta pay $90 for a site!
Anyone going drop by and say g'day, look out for the lightburn, it'll also be there cruising round (if the weather allows it, too boggy last year).

I'll be there, in the big-top again (thank God! It's worth the $165....if only to keep outta the sun and/or rain!). Racing like mad to make sure I've got enough stock to cope.
If I can't get my daily running right this week, I'll be hiring a little buzz box to do the job (eeeekkk!!!!!!!!!) .

Friday & probably Sat.
Just looking(talking) & perhaps buying.
Maybe the HD, but most likely the daily.
Can't be bothered taking the T (Yeah I know slack)
Last time we took the T to Ballarat it broke the Starter bendix spring.

I will be going in my 4wd truck ( on Sat ) so as I can collect some parts for my 49 truck project as it will be the only way to get them home
( make sense ? ) I also intend to take the Push bike after all those years trying to walk the whole thing.

Might be there sat, but have some kinda shindig I need to attend in Melb on Sat evenin. Drive up as usual, most likely in my old 4X4 wagon, however I'll walk the site because it's better for me than bein lazy and ridin a bike.

hey Mike, you got a new missus or sumpin, the old one never seemed to stop you havin a good time? Maybe I should drag your old buddy 'Flash' along with me.

Well that would have to be one of the worst Ballarat swaps of all time.
Empty sites everywhere, Sun and wind burn with hot 37 degrees on Friday, patchy rain and freezing cold on Saturday, sales about half usual turnover for the weekend.
I was very dissapointed to say the least.
I did happen to buy another lightburn though.......

It was my "best" ever swap by a mile...I suppose the lack of good tin (so I hear.....???) and over-enthusiastic prices of any tin that was there pushed people into the trade sites.

A few people that were looking did VERY well with their finds....others did not spend a CENT.

That Friday was hell though...

Did anyone find anything cool?? {I have to live my swap meet life vicariously thru others...... icon_cry.gif }

'bout the usual Ballarat for me.
Spent stuff all, caught up with a lot of people (jaw boned alot)

Made a few contacts, got a few leads that might work out.

Did better on Sunday at home, had a fella drive up from Gippsland to buy some things I had to spare. (No Wayne not 26-7 body parts :-) '14 T guards and a torque tube/tailshaft.

I'm a hoarder not a seller, but it sure was nice to get some cash-type spendoolies in the hand

Wasn't a bad swapmeet, The way they had parking wasnt the best, only cars that were for sale could park on the strip, although there was quite a few that got in, I think it was about 30 just to park ther too
We bought HOP UP from some weirdo in a bamboo stand

good and average,

bought a LUNDBERG AND SONS intake, have been chasing one for awhile, got some other cool flathead stuff, sold an aircleaner I got cast and a few other bits on Saturday.

bought a hop up, unfortunately, I dont thinkit is up to the last four that have been done, still good tho.

Friday night after walking it all, my eyes looked like I had been smoking wacky weed all day, sand blasted to hell! And I had sunglasses on.

I saw alot of good stuff, I thinkit was the best swap for Hot Rod stuff that I have seen for years. Lots of tin around, and quite a few good buys. If you looked

fell in love with a 47 chrysler coupe I saw on the way up as I breezed past in on the freeway

Didn't make it. Couldn't be bothered, worked on my cars instead.

Had a lovely night out with the missus afterwards.

Figured Sunday would suck, sounds like I didn't miss much.

I'da probably wasted all the time gasbaggin, so would missed it all anyhow.
