There's a little shop in Petersham that I've dropped into on the odd occassion that is absolutely jam packed with all sorts of toys. The guy that owns it and runs looks like a miniature version of Michael Jackson, which is kinda scary, but he's a nice enough guy and has some really neat stuff in the shop.

I spotted these and had to have them.

I got the Fire Truck for $15, it's not bad, but there's a couple of bits missing off it.

The dragster cost $30 and is in quite good nick, but as you can see, has quite a few paint chips. I guess it must've been in some serious 200 MPH rollovers

While we're at it, here's a couple of pics of a '55 Nomad gasser I'm working on. Haven't done much to it lately as living in an apartment is not conducive to model building

Brootal, you know that you could get into serious deep doo doos if you start buying die cast models. It is rather addictive.

Sorry mate, I must've missed this. The toy shop is in Petersham on Stanmore Rd, just near the corner of Crystal St. Heaps of stuff in there.

Carps... I know, I've seen your toy room... scary!

Scarier still is that I've got the modelling tabel set up in the garage, the airbrush compressor all hooked up and working too, so there's likely to be a plastic explosion in that room. Well, not that room since it's all getting moved to the larger room on the other side of the house, so you'll have to sleep with them (and maybe Dolly) next time you're here.

First project is to build both versions of the '40 Standard coupe from C-(s book, Pinky. Vince's first car is relatively easy, using the dropped axle from the Revell '40 Convertible and the same brand '$0 standard coupe kit. The hot one that got stolen and crashed, turned out not to be to tough to get the parts for. The Beatnick Bandit provided the blown Olds engine, trans and rear end. The front tyres and rear slicks I have in 'stock' and the single bar flippers from one of the AMT '40 Ford kits are perfect. I'm thinking it'll be done in it's pre primered version with worn out factory paint, red primer showing thru where it's been polished away. Of course the dropped front axle comes from a second '40 convert kit. Buggered if I know what I'm gunna do with the rest of those two kits. Maybe a chopped kustom with the Independent front end form the Beatnick Bandit for one and a Stocker from the other, using the leftover bits from the coupe kits.

There's over a dozen or unbuilt kits under the table waiting to be built, so ya never know what can happen. Or where the heck I'm gunna put them.
