This Sunday at the Cooper st Reserve, Engadine (NSW).
They usually get a good roll up of rods and swappers.
I'll be there after 9.
Weather permitting.

Hi bcal & pep,
On the subject of the Shifters club, can either of you tell me if Denis Walford is a member, or if not, do you know which club he's in? and how I can get in touch with him.
Thanks in advance,
Phil

Denis is driving around in my old 37 Ford Club Cabriolet, sure hope he is looking after it.
I knew I should have kept that Rod for when I moved to the Coast.
Might just have to cut the roof of my Willys Coupe.

Apart from wanting to swap the Chevy donk for a Ford I think she's in pretty good hands.
I'll see if can get a pick for ya on Sunday or will that just make ya even more sentimental icon_cry.gif

I should talk I've had plenty of dreams where I still own all my old cars and drive them round. I've even woken up in the morning convinced that I still own a particular car and look forward to driving it to work that day.
I know I need help

Turned out to be a good day. Well 1/2 day.
Weather was perfect.
Number of swappers was down on previous years and there didn't seem to be too much to pick from.
Previous years it was held in april so maybe the change in date was the reason.
Plenty of cars turned up tho.
100+ at least.
Seems to be turning into more of a social event than a swapmeet.
Didn't see anybody from HRI tho.

Hi Bcal, you sure are unfortunate I'v still got all the cars that I built, the only problem is that they are parked in a row and I have to moove three to get the T bucket out and I guess that isn't going to happen. Regards Garry

That's very appropriate, the reason I wanted DW's phone number is because back in 1971 I sold him my 33 Willys sport coupe ( converted to 5W ) and always wondered what happened to it.
Still have dreams ( nightmares ) because I let it go

I know I am a bit late here but better late then never.
You hit a nerve when you mentioned the word Willys.
This 33 Sport Coupe converted to 5W was it just a body and Chassis and not a completed rod.
If it was the former then there was a story going around many years ago that he left the Willys Coupe on the naturestrip out front and the council came along and thought it was junk, picked it up and sent it to the tip or where ever Willys and other old cars go.
DON"T leave your projects where others can take them.
