As far as the headings that were there are now active..The Datsun and Cortina pages are now finished, although there's not a lot on the Cortina as I wasn't concerned back then on documenting all the phases...but at least it shows a bit. Of course the 37 build pages will be updated when I complete particular sections. If you visited the site earlier and go back now, you will notice I have deleted the story on the 37 Cabriolet that was in that accident. The guy that owned it was not to happy about the story...so he requested I remove it...Seems he would like to forget about it...shame I can't. If had had a choice I would rather I was no where near it when it crashed. But I suppose if I wasn't there then the coroners inquest would have happened a while ago and I would have no involvement, instead of the pending action against the RTA where I'm a witness..Anyway, here's the link.

Nice and neat Pep. I like the documentation of the 37 rebuild.

You should be able to get new drive gears for the mini wiper unit from Northern Mini Parts in Melbourne. 03 9458 2111.....I think. I got new a new drive gear for my 72 wiper unit a while back.

don't tell wreckers it for a hot rod, they will rip you off at every chance

......Same goes for swap meets! I never cease to be amazed at how some hotrodders dress up for swaps (hot rod Ts, cuffs, etc.)..........and then complain about the prices they pay!! Well, d'uh......

I agree and disagree,

Sometimes a hotrod T shirt can help.

People have offered me 97 carbs coz of my T shirts before

or

People try to rip you off as they think you dont know what your looking at, easily picked by the

"D'ya know what ya got there sonny?" question.

depends on the dickhead as to how I answer that one!

People also try to rip you off 'cos they think hot rodders will pay stupid money for worn out shit!! Unfortunately, a lot of guys do and that perpetuates the cycle. Ain't much that can be done about it though. It's amazing how many people have asked me about where they can get some 97s 'cos they've heard that's what "hotrodders should use!!"

I used to have a broken 97 that I used as a card holder. Coulda sold it a few times (even though I pointed out it was broken) but I'm too big a believer in karma to sell it to even a complete fool.

{Sorry to hijack your post Pep!}

No worries guys...Ive been guilty of it at times as well..As far as selling to rodders. I will give a better deal if I know its a rodder. Other rodder have taken advantage of my generosity thinking I'm not aware what the item is actually worth. They have mistaken friendship towards a fellow rodder. If. in the future its not reciprocated by the rodder concerned, then I have a long memory. I have given a lot of stuff away but still don't seem to get handed good deals.
