The logic that says that the residents who moved into the area a year ago and complain about the noise should learn that we were there first. A bit like people who buy a house near an airport and then complain about aircraft noise.
Westies would be made welcome, in fact I encourage you to come over, but make sure you bring plenty of tyres, I went through about 20 tyres in 2 days last year.
As for driving over there, one day I will, but Im sure you already realise its a long way.......

Talking about being first. We had our Sandgroper Nats '04 organised and were inviting you to come here when we were at the Geelong Nats last year.
Fair suck of the saucepan eh.
C'mon get over here to the west.
I think at the last count there were around 30 planning on crossing the border.
C'mon get over here.

I'm still working on being at Big Al's in Feb.

There's too much happening over this side of the Island at Easter to justify the trip for Sandgroper Nat's, but ya never know what might happen between now and then.

And as for logig. Ya know what I ike best about Perth (the Sydney and Melbourbne guys should understand the irony in this) is that all the yuppy wankers and rich bastards live in the 'Western Suburbs'.

Was actually contemplating going down there, but after talking to a few of my old car club mates have decided strongly against going.
Reason one being the $180 entry price touted for this years event and the lack of goody bag (based on previous years when I entered).
The other main reason is the amount of accidents happening at the track during cruising. I really dont want to get hit by one of these numbnuts that cant control a car doing donuts or just driving. I recall one year I was there (possibly 3rd time the event was run) 3 toranas going out and only 2 coming back in! What scared me more was when they towed the car back in they had slide hammers and a few other tools for repairing such an incident! Most of the guys I know that enter are Street Machiners and they all arent keen to go because of the risk involved, as I'm sure the insurance company would not have any hesitation in saying you were where? Oh on a race track...Don't seem to have cover for racing badluck. This is how I see it anyway. Initially this started out as a really good event but now has become just to oriented towards burnouts to attract a good quality car. Last year it looked like the coles carpark. The only saving grace is the street drags, always impressive watching quick cars realize they might not slow down enough for the first corner and bail into the sand (not that they are to impressed about). These are just my thoughts and acouple of guys who have been entrants since it started.

Appears you understand why I seem to be such a prick at Phillips Island.

At KOA we try to have no rules however, sometimes there have to be some for the good of everybody and to ensure we get invited back again.

I thought that was just you being yourself

Mind you there appeared to be two sets of speedlimits

Maybe I would be better off just getting a speedo in the roadster

Bring on the KOA Nats can't wait

I can't make it...bit of a bummer, but won't miss next years as it'll be the 25th!!

I gather it's coming together well. Spoke with Big a couple of days ago & he mentioned how many good people he has on board helping. He ran thru a dozen names of helpers who're involved & mentioned about the recent meeting of organisers.

long story short, car lovers organising a show for car lovers.
Old style sense of community & augers well for the hobby/scene.

Next year bringing camp oven & all the overnight gear. This is the 2nd run in a row I've missed!!!
Oh well there's the 25th at least

Hey Carps, how the Picnic go?

If anyone is going to this event (one of the many that are on this weekend) come and say g'day, I'll have the commodore there (Black Ex-Bathurst Group C car).
Weve just about finished putting on the blower, so it should be a barrell of larfs.
See ya there maybe.
