i reckon u should tell all who it is as those as thick as I take a while to work it out!

Which would also make it useful for making donations!

I don't have a clue who it is to be honest.

Yes, it would be nice to know who we are asked to support. I mean you wouldnt donate money to a charity collection at the traffic lights unless you know who they are would you?
Cmon, someone tell us who it is.

Terry Crosby is one of the world's true gentlemen, a genuine Aussie battler with a heart of gold and a sense of humour bigger than the sky. He'd be the last bloke to let any of us know that he's even got a pain in the guts, let alone how crook he really is.

He's the sort of bloke who would take on the responsibility of looking after someone else's children with no hesitation and no complaint, if the need should ever arise. Oh heck, that's already happened!

Terry has been one of the hardest working members of the ASRF Nationals Committee for many years and if you drove thru the gate at either of the two Geelong Nat's you would have met him, coz he spent damn near 24 hours each day greeting people as they passed thru. Most of you here should remember Croz was for a time, until other things got the better of him, an active and informative member of this very discussion board.

I wouldn't imagine I'd be able to find a person in the world with a bad word to say about Croz and although we're not close friends, I have no hesitation in stepping up to help him out in his time of need.

Thanks Carps. You beat me by a few hours.

When I started this thread and its appeal - word was only filtering through the rodding world about Croz's plight.

It was/is not my rite to tell the whole world of this news. I set the stage, asking who's prepared to help a fellow rodder that is in need of some assistance BEFORE he was unable to appreciate the help itself.

The guy has a huge heart, and would help anyone. I should know I lived with him for well over a year before we both met our wives, married and settled down.

Its enough for him to have to cope with his illness without me telling you all who it was, BEFORE he was willing to let the news out.

So whats he done for rodding???

Throttlers R & C club, Croz was the driving force behind the club, its cruise nights and San Remo Run Rod.

Croz was in the organising committee for the last 2 Geelong ASRF Nationals. If you have to ask what that was about - then you just don't get it about how much organisation that required.

So for all of you guys that couldn't wait for the guy's identity to come out - sorry but put yourself in his shoes and think how you'd feel if you heard about your illness from someone who read it one the internet!!!

If you'd like to contribute to his projects then be there, or send some $ to the Throttles R & C Club with a covering letter, saying what its for before the weekend of May 1 and 2, so as we can finish his stuff.

If there not enough for people to do on the caravan, then there's a bunch more stuff there that you can always work on. The idea is to be there and show your support.

Thanks and see you at 17 Tattler Street, Carrum Downs on Sat May 1st and Sunday May 2nd. 10 am starting on both days.

Here's the first quick sketch...

Haven't put any detail in the rims yet ... what ruims are being used on the teardrop? Same as the car?

Also are the 34 Chev guards on the trailer gonna have the storks and lights?

Matt, the lights are 39 Ford, and the wheels are steelies with caps and trims, Yhe caravan is to be finished off in clear over ply panels. Thats a great rendering of his caravan and car - I know we will blow Croz's mind by all the support and effort that everyone is going to. I very thankful

LSquire - The guards are to be painted the same as the car, but birng along your gear anyway, as I don't know what equipment there will be there - if thats OK. I think the chassis an frame is to be painted Black, as I believe he has that paint already.

Cheers

Mark

Matt your picture came out great, top job!

I have a bunch of foters from both days, sadly had to leave early today and I'll be way 'till at least Thursday. I'll try and post some of the better shots when I get back.

When I left the rig was looking good and Cros was smiling. Great also to see he hasn't lost his sense of humour, but geez I wish he'd pust some cloths on!

As I've always said, the cars are only the catalyst that binds a bunch of like minded people together! Participating in this type of activity is what hot rodding is really all about. No politics, no bullshit, just a bunch of able bodied friends, doing whatever their ability allows, to help out one of their own in his time of need.
