Hmmm... interesting...

With a name like SRVLIVES around here I'd be careful. You might end up with a big ugly hairy faced koala taking a liking to you.

Don't say I didn't warn you.

Welcome to HRI.

Welcome SRVLIVES, looks like I might have to open up a whole new section of the forum for music, blues that is.

See the sickness has never left. Congratulations!

hey Greg, please and thank you on the music idea....

Maybe a little explaination is in order, my name's Shane and I'm 33 living in Sydney. Due to a congenital eye disorder from birth I've never actually driven on the street. While I've had my share of cars (HK Monaro, XW Falcon, 61 Dodge Phoenix, stalled T Bucket project to name a few) my itch to drive has never been satisfied.

The good news being that they've now come up with a new operation which my doc wants me to wait 12 months for, I told him I'd see him in 6! All this means is that my first rego'ed ride shall be something to remember... I didn't wait this long to drive a shitbox old Gemini!

Thanks for the welcome.

Wow! I bet you can't wait. For the rest of us 17 years was too long, so after 33 you must be busting to jump in and just cruise.

Great story. I hope it all goes well and we'll see you at a few runs later in the year. Good luck.

More power to you Shane! It is amazing what they (the doctors) can do these days.
We have a guy in our club who is leaglly blind, yet JR is building himself a very nice 28 Roadster Pickup.
He's even had a feature in ASR. This was at the 2Bay in 2003 plan is to drive it to the 2005 event.

So how do you read these pages? Do you have a special viewer or screen?

Is he on this forum? I'd love to have a chat with him

I'm not legally blind, very close though... just on the wrong side of it to get no government handouts! I get by with a 17" monitor and having to change screen colours every once in a while.

As a matter of interest .. Kelly Boyle sold his Dodge Coupe to a fella who is blind (forget his name) He has a mate who drives him to runs... they have a ball.

Sorry, I missed this one too.
Shane if you're somewhere near the south end of town I may be able to arrange a ride to Bobbin Head later this month.

I dunno Pep, it says in your sig you only travel at 700rpm!

Cheers for the good wishes guys, and the offers. I'm in Toongabbie (western subs) but willing to travel to the pick up point, wherever it may be!

I've gone all warm and gooey inside.......
