We had the Thunderbirds Hotrod club host there winter run at Lakes Entrance over the last 3 days.
Getting to look over the rods really gets the creative juices flowing and for me, confirms that I’m on the right track.

I even spotted a big beared fella in a gold 4x4 of the Toyota kind, driving around with the tail gate(s) down??, he looked like he was a little lost, so I had to give him a flash of my head lights and point so he could join the tail end of the cool cars on their way to Painsvile.

I got to talk to a few of the owners and was impressed by their friendliness and offers of help if I needed any thing.

Sorry no photos (my camera sleeps with the fishes). icon_cry.gif

I was thinking of going back next queens birthaday weekend and enjoying an informal hot rod weekend, I don't think I can wait another 2 years for it to happen again, who else will be in it

Hey Bob, count me in.

Datsfa was there with bells on and a silly hat too.

He's in top form, but Helen is in hospital this week for a knee reconstruction.

Was going to be driving the big blue Merc, only cos SWMBO wasn't travelling all that way in a car with no upholstery, heater or windows. Considering what we drove thru on the way home I'm kinda glad for a change that I listened to her.

Edited the video when I got home last night and there's some classic stuff on it. A master copy will be delivered to the T'birds prez on my way home this evening, I figure it will be distributed to all the members. Also wrote up the story for our club newsletter and Kustom Rodder, now working on the pics using mac as I type this on IBM junk.

Hey Spark, thanx for lettin me in, although the procession didn't give me time to get set up at the second 'shooting' position as was planned with the organiser. But then the map never eventuated anyhow and I was flying blind for the most part. Did you tap me on the shoulder and say gudday at all? Heaps of peple did, and some even said more than gudday.

And the best bit of all..... Richard Chandler actually made me a cup of coffee and it was drinkable.

Top weekend, thanks Thunderbirds (except Old 32 who didn't front)

Your welcome carps, I didn’t spot around the rods or I would have said hello.
I did manage to get my ugly mug in one of the photos in the link that Greg posted - The white 36 roadster with the “ERODIC” plates.
