I know door locks have been done before on here but,.......have just picked up bearclaw latches only to find out that I can't lock the bloody thing..... Do they come with any type of locking mechanism or have I just got the wrong ones.........They will be set up using neat early MX5(external) door handles
Probably an easy solution but being offline for soooooo loooong has done my head in.

I have used two types of BC latches, and neither of them locked. It didn't bother me, as I shaved the door handles and had remote operating solenoids. Works great.

Hi Franky, looks like your latches are suited to open cars, for fitting to your Chev I found Toyota Tarrago units to be a relatively easy fit into the Chev doors,am using in conjunction with Jag external handles[fitted L to R and turned upside down because the button activates a bell crank which now works in a manner that suits the Toyota locks,I am yet to connect the rods, but will do this when I get back to the body work and fit ,yet to be selected door barrels,at present it is looking to be an easy task........Frank.
