well after 3 months work the mechanical's are finally finished on the '39 ford coupe ute.motor(360 AMC)is in,4 speed muncie is adapted,BW disc brake rear has been reco'd and is in place, running boards and headers have been made and bolted on,front susp, steering and brakes adapted, clutch(that one was a head ache)and brake master cyl's and pedals adapted.total cost to date(including purchase price) is $12000(should come in under our $20000 budget easily)now for the body work.main body has been done(previous owner completed that--the benefits of buying an unfinished project) fenders have to be straightened(not much though)bonnet welded and tail lights installed.everthing on track to have it completed by the 2005 CRAKK(yeah choco!)run(getting really exited--buying the paint next week!!)see ya there!!
