Got onto a 1947 Ford Mercury, 4 door.
Suitable for a parts car only (has a fair bit of rust), but it is a complete and straight car, including stainless trims and running gear.
Its located near Bacchus Marsh about 5 minutes from my place.
Any ideas?

What's the motor like, has it been kept dry? If it's condition is unknown, my estimate would be $500-$1000, depends a lot on the condition of the brakes, chassis etc.
Plenty of blokes chasing those wheels, brakes etc.
Al least you didn't have to go far

I'll take all the stainless trim, exterior and interior, aalso the dash.

Alternatively I can point you at a complete car, rodded and registered for arround $30k. It has a fresh blue velour interior, 351 on gas, air cond, stereo, and all th luxuries, ridees on jag suspension up front and semi eliptics down back. Drives almost like a new car.

Well I got the car for just two slabs, just need to get it home now, and will dismantle it for parts, I'll get some pix as soon as i get it home.
Its too far gone with rust to restore, so far in fact I'm really not sure how Im going to move it without it falling apart.
When I get some pix, make an offer on the bits, first-in best-dressed, and I'll count any previous posts here as first-in.

Nah, just like to seee it go to a good home. Owner has too many cars or trucks and needs to reduce his fleet..

Cheers Mr cool, Will wait to here from you and will pm my email address. Were the tailshafts in those still enclosed, and were they stronger than 34 diffs?

Cheers and beers

No worries, thanks for the update. Was wondering how I was going to get the stuff from there to here anyhow.

But if the deal falls thru my offer still stands.

Cheers and beers
