It's time some of these politicians were more accountable, why legislate that it is illegal to use a part on your car if it doesn't comply with the ADR's but still allow some sleeze to sell a useless part to the unsuspecting dumb bastard who is eager to part with the hard earned folding stuff.

Careful with this one next the polititions will want all parts manufacturers to be licenced and all parts be approved and tested and a fee per part sold on top of GST etc. etc.

Due to my work in the entertaintment industry ,I dont get on the net often,And yes I do have an attitude I ask the right questions & like the right answers. Not more questions of why I want to drive my rod everyday.
It was not a winge but just a question.
I am building a 20`s Dodge tourer & want to full reg .And after reading the guideline ( which I downloaded & the vic R.T.A compliance ) & ringing engineers you could spend upto $10,000 with them just for a report.
The answers are the on the net everybody tells me but beyond the guidelines & the R.T.A there is nothing you can buy as a book.
Checkl out the W.A guidelines if you can find them
No V.A.S.S or engineers report just a roadworthy if its all done correct
Just a frustrated roadie
CHeers guy`s for the responses
I will post pictures when shes finished icon_razz.gif

It's kinda like selling BONGS when it's illegal to use them for their intended purpose, eh?!

GK: try some punctuation. It's fun for everyone!

I've just gone back and re read all the responses and for the life of me I can't see where anyone said "why do you want to drive your rod everyday". Most of us said why we don't and some some said why they do...no one said not to.....really, I dont give a rats if you drive it everyday or not...its your rod, do what you want with it and more power to you if you can.

Excellent example of some of the crazy legislation that has been passed over the years. Our laws are getting closer to George Orwell's book every day.

Kinda like fuzzy dice, you can probably buy them ,but it is illegal to hang them on your mirror,I thought with rampant multiculturism.and the proliferation of ethnic groups hanging trinkets on mirrors , I had a chance,BUT THE LAW SAYS NO WAY! ........Frank.

And have you thought that many people dont like attitudes like that?

Mate, if youre gunna come here and have some chit-chat, hang some shite, or ask questions, try and introduce yourself, tell us about your ride and get to know us first.
If you really do work in the entertainment industry, I guess you are probably gunna be outta work soon.

Hi guys
I'm new here, but just ask Chocco, I like a good discusion.
I have just rego'd a new glass 32 coupe on a repro chassis. It cost me a bundle and I don't want to drive it every day, in case some volvo driver decides to read newsweek on his way to the chemist to get sone prozac, and hits me.

Oh yes I have insurance, but can live without the hassle of having to repair my pride and joy.

As for full rego or limited, we have no choise here.
