ok guys for thoes out there who hate the sound of a rotary and recon that a rotor in a hot rod just wouldnt be right as it dosent have that sound. you should download this.

as i am running a 20B it sounds completly diffrent to a normal rotor as you will find out uppon downloading the vid (vid is a s6 RX7)

right click save target as
http://mrec.rotary.net.nz/media/ts_bat.mpg

cheers

Well mate, I like it but I reckon most of the bent 8 diehards wouldn't.
But what the f### does it matter what me or anyone else thinks.
It's what you think that matters.

Sounds cool to me.

Kinda more like a hot 6, even bordering on a high revving Italian multi cylinder engine.

As bcal says, who gives a rat's arse as to what everyone else thinks. What I'd do is just keep the hood on and let them all guess. You can just imagine it...

"Yeah, it's a hot 186. Must have triple carbs though..."

"Nah, bullshit. It's got one of them Eye-talian injuns in it... you know the Lamba...Lambor... Limboguana... you know, one o' them..."

I don't like rotors, but I've been in a few wild ones and know how hard they can run. Not my choice but congrats on havin the balls to do it. You will cop shit from one eyed bent 8 fans, like myself , but like all have said here, its your ride, do what you want. The roadster looks great any how.

Cheers and beers

Well I have to admit it sounds a lot better than their cousins. A deeper note not like a fart in a bath tub.......You will still cop some flack from the V8 guys...but, as most said, its your car and only you have to be happy with it. As long as you know that and don't get too reactive when you hear some negative comments...and you will hear them for sure.

I rate it! i like the sound. It sounds like the car has a locker diff in that clip; tough!

oh and i like it cos its goin in a 34 chev (my fave)....

My mate who has a "tuner" car told me that you can get a front cut with a triple rotor from jap or O/S somewhere for around 5000 bucks? is that true....

Id like to cut the floor out of a car that is generally disliked (like an Excel) and put in a rear wheel drive-line with a triple rotor, and go out and chop all those dudes in skylines that think they are so excellent with their blow off valves.. that'll learn em!

yea that would be quite a good price $5000 for a font cut you can pick the motors up for between $4500 and $5500, then its a good idea to rebuild them, just to be on the safe side

if you put it in an excel it would absolutly fly, plus no one would even realise it at the lights until its all too late
