Got the flathead for the roadster today...

Was curious about the condition and couldn't wait, so began to tear it down straight away, and was pleasantly suprised with the internals.......

Little bit of shit around the valves and some rust stains in the bore but no damage, still smooth and no lip. No sludge and free to turn!!

Found a plate from an engine reconditioner in NSW with a date, 1967, and all the bearing and bore sizes...

Here's the twin carb manifold I'll run...

Will finish tearin it down this week and take it to work and crack test it, all looks good so far .

Cheers and beers
Jimbob
