Im in the progess of installing a Holden VP V6 engine into a widened 1954 Austin A40 Somerset sedan, which is now a coupe. Im using a HT front end and want to fit VP disc brakes, does anyone know if there is a kit available to adapt the disc's to the front end.

you can look at hopper stoppers they make various brake kits, but I have been told that you really dont need a kit to put the VP discs setup on. I have someone who is doing this to a holden front end I will check with him.

Does any one know of someone in Brisbane that can shorten the VP Commordore diff and make new axles to suit . I have a wrecked VP Wagon that Im using for the running gear and for budget purposes I will only use them.

I would be interested in knowing what you're using for a sump considering the difficulity I'm facing jamming a V6 into my A40 Pick up. The Commodore block is very short so there is hardly any space between the bell housing and the Holden front suspension cross member.

Could ask the question at the torana board as a lot of them are cutting down diffs, they have helped me out with a bit of info on the torana parts I am using in my anglia.
Here's the link:

Have you considered getting a torana diff converted to commadore stud pattern and adapt the discs? could be a cheaper alternative.
Hope this helps.
David.
